About the Insight Program

The Insight Program has provided substance abuse treatment for teens and young adults since 1987. We provide all our services through a philosophy called enthusiastic sobriety – making sobriety attractive to teens and young adults. Insight has been successful in creating a program that reaches young people in a way that is inviting and fun.

Substance abuse treatment options

The Insight Program is licensed in Georgia and North Carolina for treatment of substance use disorders. We offer a number of services including: intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment, outpatient substance abuse treatment, individual counseling, family counseling, support group meetings, parent support groups, and sober social functions.

Our Philosophy – Enthusiastic Sobriety

The Insight Program utilizes a unique approach known as enthusiastic sobriety. In all of our treatment and support options, we use a 12 step approach with young people. We also understand that one of the primary motivators for young people to use drugs is to have fun. Without a suitable replacement for the “fun” of drinking and using drugs, young people often don’t stay sober very long, even with the best of intentions. Enthusiastic sobriety works to help young people develop new positive peer relationships through fun sober social activities and 12 step meetings.

Our substance abuse counseling staff

All of our staff are counselors trained to work with substance use disorders. All of our staff are in long term recovery and have had the experience of getting sober as a young person. This experience is vital to the process of relating to newly sober young people. Our staff is also available for speaking engagements
