Group Counselor
Originally from Northern California, Jacqueline Padgett began her journey in recovery at just 14 years old while living in Phoenix, Arizona. By the age of 16, she had enrolled in college to study Psychology, driven by a deep interest in understanding human behavior and the healing process. At 18, she furthered her education and training at the Meehan Institute for Counselor Training, laying the groundwork for what would become a passionate and impactful career in recovery support.
Over the years, Jacqueline has served in a variety of roles within the field of addiction and mental health recovery. She currently works as a group counselor in Atlanta, Georgia, where she facilitates daily group therapy sessions, leads therapeutic activities, and provides family counseling to support her clients’ broader healing journey.
Jacqueline draws on her personal experience with recovery to connect deeply with those she serves. Her commitment to sponsorship, peer support, and helping others feel less alone has become the foundation of her counseling philosophy.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and is certified as an Addiction Counselor (Levels I and II) by the state of Georgia. Jacqueline is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Kentucky, further expanding her capacity to support individuals and families on their path to recovery.
