Adolescent IOP Program Features

Many intensive outpatient programs meet during the week, and then leave the newly sober individual to seek out their own meetings, sober social groups, and recovery resources. At the Insight Program, these critical features are built into the program itself. Our program includes:

Weekly 12-step meetings for teens

Each week, we offer two support group meetings for teens, right in our facility. This negates the need for teens to take it upon themselves to find support groups on their own and leads to much higher success rates.

Full-Featured Parent Support Group

Families with teens who use substances are under a lot of pressure, and don’t always know how to sort through the challenges they face with their young person. Our weekly parent support group meetings meet this need directly, while providing practical suggestions and support for parents.

Weekly Sober Social Events

Teens have a very high social need, and without a suitable replacement for the “fun” they had while getting high, it’s unlikely that any treatment program will be a success. The Insight Program in Peachtree City meets this need directly by offering staff-attended sober social events each week.

Individual Counseling

Each teen has a unique set of needs and faces individualized challenges on their journey towards sobriety. We build weekly individual counseling into our program so that we can help young people assess their progress, process their challenges, and set specific goals for the coming week.

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Peachtree City IOP for Teens

Intensive outpatient substance use treatment refers to treatment wherein your teen lives at home and visits our facility for daily group counseling sessions.

Though some cases require a higher level of care (such as residential or partial hospitalization), it’s common for teens who use substances to get more benefit from IOP because they are able to navigate the challenges with their families, peers, and school on a day-to-day basis, rather than being removed from the environment entirely.

IOP is an appropriate level of care for a teen who is able to stay sober for periods of time, but struggles to maintain good habits over the longer term.

Our office is about 3 miles north of downtown Peachtree City’s picturesque shopping and dining hub, roughly 5 miles west of the historic town of Senoia, and approximately 30 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta.

This location makes us a convenient choice for families from Peachtree City, Fayetteville, Sharpsburg, Senoia, and the southern Atlanta region seeking our outpatient and intensive outpatient program (IOP) services.

Intensive outpatient substance use treatment is a good option for teens who require professional assistance to discontinue their use of drugs and alcohol, but who don’t necessarily need 24/7 supervision in order to succeed.
