Young Adult Intensive Outpatient (IOP) in Charlotte, NC

Charlotte Young Adult IOP Details

Young adults in Charlotte who struggle with substance use face challenges that are different from those of older adults. Yet, programs designed specifically for this age group can be hard to find. That’s why The Insight Program offers a Charlotte-area intensive outpatient program (IOP) built around the needs of young adults ages 18–25.

Our team specializes in helping young people navigate recovery while also managing school, work, relationships, and the pressures that come with early adulthood.

Features of Our Substance Abuse IOP for Young Adults

While many intensive outpatient programs provide counseling a few days a week, they often leave young people on their own to build a recovery community. At Insight, we include those community elements within the program itself to make the path to sobriety more likely to take hold:

Weekly 12-step meetings for young adults

Our Charlotte substance use treatment center holds 12-step meetings for young adults each week on Monday and Wednesday evenings. This negates the needs for young adults to take it upon themselves to find support groups on their own, leading to much higher success rates.

Full-Featured Parent Support Group

Because young adults are often still financially and emotionally tied to their families, we offer a weekly parent support group every Wednesday evening to guide and assist the entire household through the recovery process.

Weekly Sober Social Events

Recovery doesn’t happen in a vacuum—especially for young adults, who thrive on peer interaction. To provide a healthy social outlet, we hold sober events twice a week at our Charlotte treatment center.

Individual Counseling

Each young adult in our program meets weekly with a counselor for individualized support, goal-setting, and to talk through wins and obstacles along the way.
