This parent support group meeting meets every Tuesday night in Tyrone, GA near Peachtree City. Focused on providing real solutions and healing to parents whose young ones struggle with substance use disorder, addiction, or alcohol.

It's not easy towing the line between supporting your loved one, taking care of yourself, and dealing with the emotional after-effects of substance use. This support group meeting for parents of addicts and substance users in Peachtree City will help you connect with a community, find solutions that work, and begin healing.

These meetings are held every Tuesday night. Each week, we cover a different topic related to responding to a loved one abusing drugs or alcohol.

All meetings are voluntary, parent-led, and attended by our substance abuse counseling staff.

Meeting topics include:

  • Setting appropriate boundaries and how to stick with them
  • Getting on the same page with your spouse
  • Coping mechanisms for dealing with guilt, shame, and fear
  • Responding to questions from friends and family
  • Developing supportive relationships with other families of addicts and substance users
  • How to utilize a 12-step program similar t Al-Anon family groups in the context of dealing with teen or young adult children
