Lauren Hairston

Community Liason

Lauren Hairston currently serves as the High School Liaison for Forsyth County, where she connects with students to provide support in their recovery. She has a passion for helping young people and their families find hope and healing through recovery.

Having struggled with drugs and alcohol, she began her own personal journey to sobriety in June 2017. This life-changing experience inspired her to dedicate her career to supporting others facing similar challenges.

Lauren is a graduate of the Meehan Institute of Counselor Training and has worked with the Enthusiastic Sobriety Program since 2019. Her role consisted of planning weekly sober social events, providing individual sessions for young people and their families, guiding them toward building a happy and fulfilled life, free from chemical dependency. Lauren also served as a Brief Intervention Specialist at Pathways2Life, where she supported teenagers within the Fulton County school system in overcoming their struggles and making positive life changes.

Lauren is also working toward completing the required hours to become a certified substance abuse counselor. Her mission is to carry the message of recovery to struggling teenagers and young adults, offering them the tools, support, and encouragement they need to create a brighter future.
