Dewayne grew up in Mesa, Arizona where he was introduced to drugs and alcohol at age 12, and had trouble with the legal system and getting sober since he was 13. Dewayne’s recovery started when he joined The Pathway Program in Tempe Arizona, at age 16, in March of 2015. He is passionate about helping young people achieve long term sobriety since he relates to struggling with addiction/alcoholism from a young age. Dewayne completed The Meehan Institute of Counselor Training in May of 2017 and has been a dedicated Peer Support Counselor since then. He is currently working towards obtaining the necessary hours to becoming a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor.
